Thread: RealRyder "More Calories" claim?

  1. Default RealRyder "More Calories" claim?

I keep seeing claims that riders "burn more calories" (I've seen claims of "20% more calories" -- that's an awful lot...) on RealRyder bikes vs. conventional spin bikes. Can anyone point me to any actual evidence that supports or disputes this claim, or is it pure marketing hype? I actually don't see any of those claims on their website now... But I still see it from RealRyder facilities...

I have a friend who teaches at a Real Ryder studio, I will ask.
