Does anyone know if Kaiser does not allow standing sprints?

I just went through a certification and the manual talks about speed work drills and one of those is sprints. It says moderate tension at 100% maximum effort for 10-12 seconds with full recovery between sprints. It doesn't say anything about not standing. My GFM is telling us Kaiser says standing sprints are unsafe and should not be performed.

Never noticed but going back and rereading the Keiser Performance Cycling Manual there is no mention of standing sprints. Its not listed in the bad techniques but its not listed as one of the acceptable ones either. Whenever it talks about being out of the saddle it says its a climb and a climb rpm < ~85

I know this subject is from last fall, but I was looking in the Keiser performamce cycling manual and found what I would call standing sprints under the technique called Surges. It says surges can be done for less than 30 seconds either seated or standing. Perhaps this is what was meant in this thread?

In my recent Keiser training she did hill sprints in the saddle and then did power accleratations in and out of saddle. I would not call them all out sprints.

Mad Dogg will pick up cadence in HP2, but not full out sprints.

As a Johnny G instructor, I've just started teaching on the Keiser bikes. Where can I find a manual?

Thanks for your replies.
