View Full Version : RPM in a spinning facility

We have been a spinning facility for over a year. We have only spin instructors teaching classes however not all follow the parameters of spinning, ex. RPM and HR. Is it possible to bring RPM onto the schedule and still remain a spinning facility? We would definitley identify the classes as each.
Thanks in advance for your help.

If your club is a certified Spinning facility, it would probably lose that status if it started offering a competitor's group cycling program.

I am not familiar with the Spinning Contract that a facility signs. I am sure there are loop holes and the biggest one is that Spinning doesn't even try to find the non compliant ones.

Several years ago I taught at a facility that offered both official Spinning classes and Group Ride, the BTS cycling program.

I just have to wonder if Mad Dogg and BTS knew about that arrangement.

According to paragraph C of the license agreement to be a certified Spinning facility, the club agrees to: "offer the Program as its exclusive group indoor cycling program at the Facility..."

spinning its the only true program

That's kind of a hard argument to make given that Spinning today and Spinning when I was first certified in the 90's are two totally different programs.
