What are you doing on Saturday April 28th?

Why not join dozens of clubs and studios and participate in what could become the largest Indoor Cycling fundraising event ever?

The people from the Wish Upon A Hero Foundation (http://www.indoorcycleinstructor.com/be-a-hero-indoor-cycling-event) contacted me and asked if I would help promote their event here at Pedal-On and at ICI/PRO. Once I understood what they do and who they help (over 88,000 wishes granted so far) I couldn’t say no http://www.indoorcycleinstructor.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif And I hope you won't say no either.
Social Helping Network
The vision of Wish Upon A Hero consist of using the power of the internet combined with the passion to help. This combinations allows the world to help more people, more efficiently. We call it the Social Helping Network. The Wish Upon A Hero Foundation utilizes this network to grant wishes in two ways.
First, we grant wishes posted on WishUponAHero.com (http://www.indoorcycleinstructor.com/be-a-hero-indoor-cycling-event). Posted wishes provides our team with the basic information about you and your need. The wish can easily be shared which will give it the exposure needed to be granted.
Second, our wish granting team finds people in need and post their wishes under the Wish Upon A Hero Foundation account. We do this for individuals who do not have internet access or the ability to post a wish on their own.

The potential to be connected to this incredible organization sounded exciting and I invited Dave Girgenti (founder of the Wish Upon A Hero Foundation) on the Indoor Cycle Instructor Podcast so he could explain what you need to do to participate on April 28th.

Wish Upon A Hero understands how important it is to assist partner clubs and studios. They have marketing materials ready for you to use to promote the event to your participants.

You can get all the details by listening to the interview with Dave Girgenti here.

I forgot to add - although this is billed as a USA event, there's no reason not to attend no matter where you are located. It would actually be very cool if our community could crush them with a massive number of studios from around the world.

With RealRyder as their title sponsor, I'm seeing a lot of RealRyder studios on their Cycle Sponsor page (http://www.beaheroevent.com/3/miscellaneous7.htm). (http://www.indoorcycleinstructor.com/be-a-hero-indoor-cycling-event)

I am so glad you were found by Wish Upon a Hero. And to add one more exciting aspect of this event...the HOME indoor cycler can particpate as well. At EMG Live Fitness we will be broadcasting LIVE from 4 studios on the day of the event. The times are yet to be scheduled...but there will be a convenient time for everyone. Home indoor cyclers can go to the Be A Hero event page and register as a Home cycler. They can raise money, get incentives, just like everyone else... It will be the first time we are doing something like this. It could add a whole new dimension to fundraising.
