Three brothers married on the same day. One married a woman from Massachusetts, the other a woman from Oregon, the third a woman from Georgia. Wanting to establish themselves as the head of the household each set specific demands upon his wife right after the honeymoon.

The man who married the woman from Massachusetts demanded that he always come home to a clean house. On the first day he didn't see anything. On the second day he didn't see anything. On the third day when he came home the house was immaculate.

The man who married the woman from Oregon demanded that he have a clean house and a good home cooked meal every night. On the first day he didn't see anything. On the second day he didn't see anything. On the third day when he came home the house was immaculate and he had a wonder dinner waiting.

The man who married the woman from Georgia demanded that he have a clean house, a good dinner, the lawn mowed, the garbage picked up, and all the srubbery clipped neatly every day. On the first day he didn't see anything. On the second day he didn't see anything. On the third day the swelling went down far enough so that he could make himself a sandwich and load the dishwasher.
